Triple-Light Headlight Conversion Plates – $5.50

This is a set of HO scale KV Models etched triple beam headlight conversion plates for E and F units. Specifically, the models these plates will work with are F-3, F-7, F-9, E-3, E-5, E-7, E-8, E-9 and a few others. Some railroads like the SP opted for triple beam headlights instead of the single beam lights. This detail part has never been offered leaving the modeler to figure out a way to achieve the look. This conversion plate is offered in 5 different sizes for different light diameters. The set is good for the smaller lower headlight openings as well as the upper headlight opening.

The photo below shows the twin-beam headlight plates installed in an Intermountain F-unit.  The triple-beam plates would looks the same but with 3 headlight rings in the plate.
