Alco RS3 Dynamic Brake Set – $9.95

This set has all of the hardware to add the dynamic brake vent and side doors to an HO scale RS3.  The set includes the top panel for the top of the short hood.  This panel has mounting holes for the vent housing.  Drill into the shell through the holes in the panel with a #80 drill bit.  The vent housing consists of the vent “box” which has the pins that are inserted through the top panel into the holes drilled into the shell.  The vent top plate (upper right corner of the fret) folds over on itself and mounts to the top of the vent box.  The vent fins are bent upward facing away from the top of the short hood.  The vent guard bars (upside down “U” shape are attached to the top plate using the mounting holes on each edge of the top plate.  The side doors are attached to the side of the short hood.  CA is recommended for attaching all components.
