Alco RS2/3 Seaboard Style Number Plates – $5.25

These number plates were used by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad at each end of RS-2’s and RS-3’s above the headlights. The set consists of the number plate, number plate mounting plate, and two different mounting plate brackets. The brackets have different curvatures to match either Kato/Atlas or Athearn models. Assembly is fairly simple. The mounting plate has an etched fold line along the bottom. Fold the bottom piece up and attach the brackets to the back side of the mounting plate. You will see two etched lines which the brackets are inserted into. The number plate is then attached to the front of the mounting plate. The fret includes two etched holes on the right hand side. These holes serve as a drilling template for the two mounting pins at the bottom of the mounting plate. Drill the holes into the mode and attach the number plate assembly with CA.
