Alco RS3 Radiator Shutters (Atlas Classic) – $9.95

This set replaces the shutters on the side of the HO scale Atlas Classic RS3.  The shutters can be modeled in the opened position by bending the shutters perpendicular to the frame.  They also can be modeled in the closed position by leaving them in their horizontal position.  The Atlas model has the shutters in the opened position so this set does allow for variation from that.  The set includes parts to do one engine.  The parts are labeled bottom, middle and top.  The assembly is basically a sandwich with the middle set of shutters being attached on top of the bottom set of shutters.  It does help to angle the shutters slightly since they have to mesh to get the proper fit.  Note that the part of the shutter with the notch in middle should be bent outward.  The frame labeled top has a horizontal bar in the center that would fit through this notch.  CA is recommended to attaching the parts together and to the model.  It is highly unlikely that this set fits any other models.
