EMD SD40 Series Pilot Plate Set B (with MU Hose Loops) – $6.00
This set is for EMD SD40 series locomotives that have had their footboards removed from the pilots. Check with the shape of the pilot on the locomotive to ensure proper fit. The pilot includes MU hose loops. The loops are bent into a “U” shape and the pins on the end are inserted through the holes in the pilot plates into holes drilled into the pilots. The MU hoses can then be threaded through the loops or left dangling outside of the loops. The photo below shows the MU hose loops in use on our SW1000/1500 set.
