Cab Unit Headlight Visor/Bug Deflector – $5.50
This set is for EMD, Baldwin and other makes cab units. The headlight visors were mounted on top of the headlight housing to create a steady flow of air over the windshield. This was supposed to keep bug splatter from occurring. The visors mount to the top of the headlight housing by drilling a small hole in the top of the housing. The base of the visors have a pin which is inserted into the drilled hole and then is secured with CA. The modeler can either use a small piece of .005″ clear styrene cut to fit the frame or MicroScale Krystol Klear to create the clear panel. We would suggest attaching the clear styrene to the frame with canopy glue. The set includes 4 visors, enough to equip 4 engines.
