Alco RS3 Side Door Panels (DL&W/EL) – $18.95

This set contains parts to modify the Atlas Classic HO scale RS3 and make it correct for the DL&W/EL units.  The last order of RS3’s for the Lackawanna Railroad had a modified door intake arrangement.  The louvers were replaced with rectangular intake housings with screens.  This set includes the side doors, intake housings and intake screens as well as the Alco long hood access door handles.  The set is arranged with parts in order and labeled Engineer side and Fireman side.  There are two different sized intake housings.  They are used on the center narrow long hood doors.  Even though the housing is narrower, the screen is still the same size as all the rest.  In order to get a good flush fit of the door panel on the model the louvers and door hings need to be shaved flat.  A good sharp X-Acto blade is perfect for this.  CA is recommended for installation of all etched parts.
