Alco RS2/3 Seaboard Style Radiator Cover – $7.00
This style of grille was used by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad to cover the round radiator housing of its Alco RS2 and RS3 locomotives. The grille consists of the main round grille cover which is folded over into itself. The posts are then folded down to attach the cover to the radiator housing. The grille cover is designed to fit all RS2 and 3 models including the Kato RS2 with the high radiator housing. To mount this set on the Kato mode the modeler has to cut the mounting legs off of the rectangular end protrusions. They are replaced with the two brackets included in the set. Those brackets are folded into a “U” shape and attached to the rectangular end protrusions.
